RESTOR-ME is a fully managed remote backup and recovery service for your entire business. RESTOR-ME makes it fast and easy to protect company-wide data in our secure, highly resilient Data Centre.

Getting Started
Restor-Me UK Ltd trained consultants will provide all the assistance and help needed to configure and set up the RESTOR-ME Client software and advise on performance considerations and operational configurations.
Prior to implementation we recommend you install the RESTOR-ME client configured in statistical mode. Statistical mode simulates the backups you will use in practice and enables us to accurately determine two important criteria:
- The amount of data you require protected
- The size of the incremental backups
Your monthly fee is based upon the amount of protected data you have, plus incremental backups. This is then held in our Primary Vault for 60 days.
RESTOR-ME utilises RAID arrays at every stage of the backup and archiving process – Primary Vault, Secondary Vault and Long Term
Vault.
Using the software tools available within RESTOR-ME you can manage how your data vault grows in order to manage your monthly fees.
If implemented, Backup Lifecycle Manager (BLM) will allow you to migrate data from the Primary Vault to a Secondary Vault so you can continue to archive data without increasing monthly fees. Data is held on our Secondary Vault for a further 120 days. This is priced on a per/Gbyte/Month basis.
Archiving for periods greater than 180 days is available at an additional monthly fee of per/Gbyte/Month. This data is held on ATA/SATA RAID arrays for as long as you need, enabling you to meet the appropriate compliance and legislative requirements placed upon your business.

A full day training course is available on request for a reduced fee. Up to eight people can be trained on your premises.
This training is designed to ensure the appropriate IT personnel can configure the RESTOR-ME client and satisfactorily manage the backup and restore processes.
Our Monday-Friday, 9am to 5.30pm Help Desk and consultants will always be available to assist in configuration or expansion requirements.
We will be able to take remote control of your desktop to aid configuration prior to an on-site visit being necessary. Our team of consultants will automatically provide on-going training and half yearly health checks after the initial installation is completed.
Restoring Data
Restor-Me UK Ltd will hold two instances of your backup data. A third will be held on your site as the Local Restore copy if you have purchased this option.
The benefit in having Local Restore is instant recovery of critical data that is lost. Other non-critical data could then be restored by the next business day (NBD) without serious consequence.
In the event of a failure – Application or File Server data loss – you have three options available to you for restore as standard:
- If the files, folders, e-mail, etc. are small (<= 10Gbyte), it is possible dependant on the WAN service you have, to restore this data across the WAN using the RESTOR-ME client.
- For restores greater than10Gybte, or if you can wait until the NBD, Restor-Me UK Ltd will provide you with the appropriate data on a suitable mobile mass storage device.
- For a fixed fee we will provide you with the appropriate data on a suitable mass storage device within four hours.
